Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS)
The Fatality Analysis Reporting System is a nationwide census of yearly data regarding fatal injuries suffered in motor vehicle traffic crashes, including data on the presence of drugs and alcohol in persons involved in fatal traffic crashes. Data are available to download from years 1975-2010.

National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) formerly the National Household Survey on Drug Abuse
The National Survey on Drug Use and Health is a nationwide survey of individuals aged 12 and older, which has four aims:
- Provide data on the level and patterns of legal and illicit drug use
- Track trends in the use of alcohol, tobacco, and various types of drugs
- Assess the consequences of drug use and abuse
- Identify groups with a high risk for drug abuse.
Data are available to download from years 1979-2010.

Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS)
Beginning in 2017, the YRBS National High School Questionnaire included a question for participants about driving when using marijuana. This survey also includes questions about driving or riding in a car and alcohol use as well as other driver safety topics.
