Expected drug experience-Child

The National Survey of Parents and Youth is a survey conducted to evaluate the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign. The survey measures drug-related attitudes and beliefs in children and parents.

The Child “Expected Drug Experience” measure asks students to report their attitudes about marijuana and inhalants, as well as to predict future use and consequences of using marijuana and inhalants.

Sample items:
“Do you disapprove or approve of people trying marijuana once or twice?”
“How do you think your parents/caregivers would feel about you using marijuana, even once or twice, over the next 12 months?”

Number of items: 20-30
